Like many people, who surf the net and YouTube, we've seen various videos of demos of lasers and their capabilities. From pretty light shows, to bursting balloons, lighting matches and cutting plastics.

I thought that although interesting, this hobby would be well out of my price range and most likely lasers wouldn't be available in the UK outside a lab environ.

How wrong I was!

Although, for the "cool" (read as dangerous) lasers one can expect to spend up to £1000 sterling!
but there are low end and far "safer" (read as less dangerous) right down to a couple of pounds.

One issue I found was getting the basic need to know info all in one easy to access place was rather difficult, hence this site.

This site, is devoted to my new found hobby and all that I have discovered about it and will post info pertaining to the beginner in the UK Laser scene

Although fairly new to lasers, I have scoured the web, informational books and other sources to find out accurate*  info for the beginning laser user.
